Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all!

After an event-rich-but-apocalypse-free year, 2013 stretches ahead of us, pregnant with potential, promise and ill-judged alliteration. What will it bring us? Many more books, for one thing, you’ll be pleased to learn.

Over the course of 2012 we published fewer eBooks than we’d have liked, but we undertook a complete audit of our production processes in order to increase the quality of books we were publishing. That done, and new, better systems in place covering initial conversion through to proofing, we’re now well-placed to increase our output in 2013, with no loss of quality.

But before the cogs begin turning and the great machine produces the first SF Gateway titles of January, we have little gift for you. Following a number of requests on the Forum, we have made the entire SF Gateway publishing schedule available as a downloadable spreadsheet.  At the moment, it covers everything up to the end of 2012 and we’ll endeavour to update it every month. The spreadsheet can be filtered by author name, title, ISBN and publication date, so you can see at a glance which of your favourite authors’ works are currently available, and what’s been added in the last month or so.

We hope that will help you to navigate the site and more easily find the books you’re looking for.

And just a reminder that the instructions to re-set prices to their pre-sale level will be beamed into the aether today, and the retail sites should have them processed by the weekend (maybe earlier), so you’ve not got long to take advantage of the £2.99 sale.
