Gordon Eklund, born in Seattle, Washington, in 1945, is a Nebula Award-winning American SF author. His first published work was the short story “Dear Aunt Annie”, which appeared in the 1970 edition of Fantastic magazine and was nominated for a Nebular Award. His works also include the “Lord Teric” series and two of the earliest original novels based on the original 1960s Star Trek television series. Eklund collaborated with Gregory Benford on a number of stories which later became If the Stars Were Gods (1977). In 1974, its original form, this title won the Nebula for Best Novelette.
